The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has relieved 7 aides attached to the office of his deputy, Agboola Ajayi.
The move followed Ajayi’s defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress( APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye in a statement confirmed the sack of the aides to the Deputy Governor.

The affected aides are: Olomu Bayo, Special Assistant, Special Duties, Olawale Abolade Mukaila, Special Assistant, Photography, Babatope Okeowo, Deputy Chief Press Secretary , Samuel Ogunmusi, Personal Assistant, (Deputy Governor), Omotunmise Tokunbo, Special Assistant to the wife of the Deputy Governor, Erifeyiwa Shola Akinnugba, (Photography, wife of the Deputy Governor ) and Allen Sowore,Special Assistant on New media.
The affected aides are advised to submit all government’s properties in their possession to the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
The Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday; pitching tents with the people’s Democratic party.
