Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, says the building of isolation centres as directed by the Federal Government is not the proper way to prevent Conoranvirus disease, hence the state will not invest in the isolation centre.
Ayade, a Professor of Microbiology stated this while speaking against the background of containing the spread of Coronavirus, saying building isolation centre for tropical infectious diseases cannot be within the city centre.

Governor Ayade also said Cross River does not need fumigation at this time unless there is a reported case of Coronavirus in the state.
He said lockdown of borders and stay-at-home order is the way to go instead of building isolation centres that will cause more infections to the victims.
