Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, says the dualisation of Calabar-Tinapa-Odukpani Junction Road project will change the state economy and reduce traffic congestion into the city centre when completed.
Speaking during the inspection of the road project on Monday, Governor Ayade, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita, said despite the fact that the road is a federal road, he will not abandon it for his citizens to suffer.

The Governor said he is developing critical road infrastructure across different parts of the state due to his commitment to safety of his people.
On his part, the Director of Civil Works, State Ministry of Works, Godwin Akeke, assured that the project would be delivered before the peak of the rainy season
The 17-kilometre Calabar -Tinapa- Odukpani Junction Road, which is the only access into Calabar, the state capital, had been a nightmare to motorists, due to frequent accident and huge traffic congestion.
