Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has condemned activities of criminal elements who operate from the forests under the guise of being herders to unleash mayhem on farmers and citizens of the state.
The Governor denounced the unwholesome acts when he went on a fact finding tour of affected communities in Edo South Senatorial district of the State.
Farmers are mostly at the receiving end of attacks as their farms are allegedly destroyed by suspected herders and many have been killed while working for the sustenance of their families and providing food for society. It is the same for unfortunate travellers who are kidnapped on daily basis for ransom.
