The Northern Elders’ Forum, NEF, has expressed a desire to work with the governors of states in northern part of Nigeria in order to address security challenges facing the region.
Speaking at the Northern People’s Summit in Kaduna over the current security situation bedeviling the region, Professor Ango Abdullahi, said it is time to stop the blame game in order to work together, to tackle the situation head on.

He said the issue of banditry, cultism, piracy and other forms of criminality, must be treated with a mindset, through identifying their root causes, in order to proffer solutions to them.
Other speakers at the summit, noted that the challenges faced by Nigeria are unprecedented, and required urgent solutions to fix them.
