Uncertainty and confusion are trailing the election of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Kano State branch as the Federal High Court which stopped the election scheduled for Wednesday, fixes Friday for the ruling.
Two Kano based lawyers; Yasir Garba and another have dragged the NBA President, Paul Osoro before, the court for interference with the election.
The NBA electoral committee had disqualified two candidates; Ibrahim Waru and Nurudden Ayagi for the chairmanship position, but the appeal committee of the NBA reversed the disqualification of the duo.
The court on Tuesday gave an order directing parties to maintain status quo and fixed Wednesday for the ruling. However, the court on
Wednesday, adjourned ruling till Friday.

Meanwhile, the NBA election could not hold as scheduled and no new date is given. Nurudeen Ayagi and Umar Fari were cleared to contest the election for the position of chairman. Other positions are unopposed.
