Ekiti NDLEA destroys over 60 hectares of Cannabis Plantation and prosecutes over 100 persons.
As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to marks this year’s Int’l Day Against Drug Abuse with the theme Better Knowledge for Better Care #Facts for Solidarity, the NDLEA in the country is expressing concerns over drug dependent persons who are more acutely at risk of contracting COVID-19 because of their usually attendant underlying health issues and the dearth of access to health care.
In Ekiti State, the NDLEA has recorded tremendous Success in the Past One Year by clamping down on Drug Peddlers, & destroying large farmlands of Cannabis
In Drug Demand Reduction Activities, the Command Counselled one hundred and six (106) clients and carried out 46 outings on Public enlightenment campaigns to Schools, market women, youths, community grass root mobilization, churches and Mosques.

The Commandant urged the People of Ekiti State to shun abuse of Illicit substances and asks Land owners to desist from giving out their Lands for cultivation of illicit drugs.
