The Northeast Governors’ Forum has called on the Federal Government to seek the support of neighbouring countries to help tackle the insurgency activities ravaging the sub-region.
The Chairman of the Forum, Professor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, said this while declaring open the 4th Northeast Governors’ Forum meeting in Bauchi.

The meeting centered on how to address the issues of insurgency that is affecting the economic development of the sub-region and Nigeria in general.
It was against this backdrop that the chairman of the forum, Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum, called on the Federal Government to involve the services of external forces, to enable the country to win the war.
He pledged the support and cooperation of the governors of the sub-region.
The Chief host, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed said, nothing tangible could be achieve without the guarantee of the security of lives and properties.
He advocated for the creation of state police, to complement the efforts of the federal government.
He asked the Attorney General Of The Federation to ensure the speedy dispensation of Justice on all terrorism cases, saying, justice delayed is justice denied.
