The Nigerian government says Mathematics will remain a compulsory O’ Level requirement for intending law students, despite calls from some quarters to make the subject optional.
The Director-General of the National Mathematical Centre, Professor Stephen Onah, at the 2021 International Maths Day says the subject remains a must -have for any programme requiring critical thinking.
Professor Onah advised teachers of Mathematics to use up-to-date learning techniques to avoid scaring students from the subject.
