Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde says there is ongoing studying of the nature of Coronavirus pandemic in the State to fashion out the kind of treatment and approach to adopt in curtailing it.
He said the mass testing which identified 4 new cases on Thursday and Friday calls for more pro-active measures.
The Governor who stated this while addressing journalists said the State will also make the wearing of face masks in public places compulsory within the State after producing the first 1 million pieces to be distributed.
He also said the state civil servants who are scheduled to resume work on Monday, April 20 will now resume on the 27th as further precautionary measures to tackle the pandemic.

Governor Makinde also said the State has taken the necessary data needed to share palliatives to the poorest of the poor without hitches.
He said the State has studied the errors made by other states that are already sharing palliatives and will ensure that it guides against such mistakes.
He also confirmed that his administration is working with agricultural research institutes in the State to help in providing seedlings to farmers to ensure success so as to guarantee food security in the State.
