The Adamawa State Police Command says the renewed campaign against rape and sexual violence against women and children has recorded another milestone. This follows the arrest of a 42-year old man, Matthew Joseph for allegedly raping and impregnating his 17-year old daughter.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje in a statement said the accused, Joseph who is a resident of Yola South Local Government Area reportedly had frequent sexual intercourse with his daughter since he divorced her mother sometime in 2019.

The statement says investigation so far shows that the victim is 3 months pregnant and is now undergoing medical screenings.
