A female child trafficker, an auxiliary, nurse who stole a two-month-old baby boy from one of the hospitals in Aba to be sold in Port Harcourt, and a thirty-year-old stepfather who defiled his wife’s nine-year-old daughter were paraded at the Rivers State Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Speaking to reporters, the suspected traffickers and the rapist admitted to the crime.
The alleged child trafficker who is in her late fifties, and the nurse in her early thirties, gave detailed confession on the abducted child.
While the suspected rapist, who is a Northerner narrated that he started defiling his step daughter when she was four years.
The nine-year-old girl who spoke off-camera said she reported the sexual molestation being meted on her by her stepfather on several occasions to her mother, but she did not believe her. That her neighbour whom she confided on, brought the issue to human rights activists.

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, who spoke off-camera, affirmed that the suspects will be arraigned in court.
