Taraba State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu has said the State Government will always provide support to economic programmes that will uplift the standard of the poor and vulnerable in the state.
The Deputy Governor was speaking when he received a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development on a one day working visit.
The delegation from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, led by Garba Haganawiga, was in Taraba State, to flag off the disbursement of cash grants to the vulnerable women in the State.

The team’s first port of call was the office of the Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Haruna Manu.
The Deputy Governor commended the Federal Government’s initiative aimed at lifting many out of poverty.
The programme witnessed the disbursement of N20,000 each to beneficiaries; drawn from rural areas in Taraba State.
The Social Investment Programme is targeted at lifting at atleast 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030.
