Members of the Association of Quarry, Tipper Owners and Drivers have blocked major roads in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
They are protesting the burning of a vehicle of their colleagues by commercial motorcycle operators on Friday. Their action has caused traffic gridlock in many parts of Akure.
Recall that 2 persons were confirmed dead on Friday when a motorcycle operator and a passenger ran into a faulty truck along the High Court area of Akure.

The Association had earlier protested on Saturday to vent their anger against the conduct of the motorcycle operators.
They are demanding that a new truck should be purchased for the owner,while the excesses and activities of commercial motorcycle operators should be checked.
