The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, has assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is fully committed and resolved to protect its citizens from the impacts of the deadly Coronavirus.

Mustapha said this during an interactive session with reporters in Yola, Adamawa State capital on Monday.

He was on a visit to Garkida town to commiserate with the people over the February attack on the community by Boko Haram insurgents.

The SGF was there to also convey the President Muhammadu Buhari’s deepest regrets and sympathy.

Mustapha also used the occasion to stress the need for communities in the country to take the outbreak of the Coronavirus seriously.

According to the SGF, the Federal Government will be shutting down three international airports in the country with effect from Monday.

He said no international flights will be allowed into the country.

Mustapha, however, said that measures have become imperative to further halt the importation of the virus into the country.

The SGF added that as dreaded as Boko Haram insurgents are, Coronavirus is more vicious and most dreaded because one affliction can destroy an entire city.
