A faction of the National Working Committee, NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC on Tuesday, kick started preparation for the March 17th emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC where an Acting National Chairman of the party is expected to emerge.
The meeting which lasted for about 3 hours at the Party’s National Secretariat before it was moved to an undisclosed venue, had some NWC members and some other party chieftains who are considered to be against the suspended National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole says in attendance.
Those in attendance at the meeting include, the Acting National Secretary, Victor Giadom; the National Vice Chairman (North-East) Salihu Mustapha; National Vice Chairman (South-West) Pastor Bankole Oluwajana; the National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibeduro; the Party’s Acting National Auditor and the Edo state Chairman, Anslem Ojeshua, among others.

It was also gathered that the Party’s National Youth Leader, Abubakar Sadiq and National Woman Leader, Salamatu Beiwa, later joined them outside the Party’s National Secretariat.
Our correspondent observed that staff were already cleaning and fixing some faulty electrical appliances in the NEC hall.
It was, however, gathered that the Party has started distributing invitation letters to members for the NEC meeting which is scheduled to hold next week.

The invitations, which are being sent out by the Administrative Staff of the Party, were signed by the Acting National Secretary, Victor Giadom.
Some members of the NWC had objected to the NEC meeting, stating that there was no appropriate authorisation.
It is being alleged that those objecting to the NEC meeting might likely go to court to obtain an injunction to stop it.
