The Federal Executive Council, FEC, on Wednesday observed a minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives during Sunday’s explosion in Abule Ado area of Lagos State.
The weekly meeting, which held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa Abuja, was chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The explosion was reported to have claimed 18 lives.
The Council also observed a minute silence in honour of former Minister of Science and Technology during the military administration of General Ibrahim Babangida, Emmanuel Emovon.
The late Professor was also the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos.

Emovon died on February 20, 2020, at the age of 91.
Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, called for the one-minute silence before the commencement of the meeting.
The cabinet prayed for the repose of the soul of the victims of the explosion and the late Professor Emovon.
